What to wear to the office holiday party (when it’s not in the office)

If you’re anything like me, you’re starting to think about – or maybe even stress about – what you’re going to wear to your office holiday party.

Will it be heels or flats? Denim or gingham? Mini or maxi?

My questions are endless. But, the one thing I’m absolutely certain about is that these are the people I work with, so above all else, I want to remain appropriate.

This year, my coworkers decided to skip the typical potluck lunch and instead go on an after-hours pub stroll through one of the city’s most popular entertainment districts. The plan is to visit several different spots throughout the evening, sampling all kinds of tasty treats along the way. I know, it sounds like fun. But seriously, this complicates my decision-making process even more.

Will we be indoors or outdoors? Sunshine or rain? Jacket or sweater?

Yep. The questions just keep coming.

Anyway, I decided to put together what I think are a few professional, yet fashionable looks that should just about cover every possible scenario.

The problem is, I like them all! So, I need you to help me decide what to wear on a night that promises to be off the beaten path in more ways than one.

Just leave a comment here or on my Facebook page telling me which look you prefer. The one with the most comments wins! Stay tuned for the big reveal soon!  XoXo

  1. Number one and three are my favorites but I love the colorful clutch in the first, so that’s my vote. You’ll be fabulous no matter which you choose!

  2. Hmmm…You look great in all of them, but my favorite is #1, especially if it’s a little chilly in the evening…but then you can cool off if it’s hot in the pub…

  3. I love the snazzy black and white spectator shoes, so I think they should be worked into whatever outfit you choose. They will be comfortable for standing and/or walking, and they are just so darned cute. I know you will put together something cutsie with them, and then Marc should wear the khaki pants and jacket he was wearing in his photo the other day. That way, you two will win the Most Handsome Couple award. Yes, they should have one. Love, Gaga

    • The options are endless, Pamela and you don’t need to break the bank doing it. For instance, I have a favorite shirt that I wear with EVERYTHING, but you’d never know it because I change the styling. You can see these looks on my IG page, @SisterLadyGirl. Also, if you have maxi skirts or dresses, consider shortening the hem to mid-calf to create a completely different look. Lastly, if I’m in a makeup pinch, I can use my favorite lipstick and an eyeliner pencil to “beat” my whole face! 🙂 Like I said, the options are endless. Look for new videos and content about these and other topics soon!

  4. You ought to be a part of a contest for one of the most useful sites on the internet. I most certainly will recommend this web site!
