Confessions of a change junkie

I’ve always had an amazing ability to adapt to change.  The idea of doing or trying something new and different just excites me.  As Winston Churchill once said, “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.”

Sounds like the definition of flawless, if you ask me.

Anyway, I think adaptability was embedded in my DNA long before I was born. I’m a Scorpio. And, according to the Zodiac, we are some of the most flexible creatures on the planet.  We’ll try *almost* anything once.  When I think about how I live and the things I do, I realize there’s a lot of truth in it. And, it’s most evident when it comes to the way I look.

The older I get, the more I find myself looking in the mirror and finding fault with every little line, crease, indention and dimple I see. Sounds vain? Guilty! But, if I’m being honest, getting old sort of sucks. Of course, I’m grateful for every day I spend above ground. But, I want to look my best while I do it.

Being the change junkie that I am, I’m always on the hunt for ways to freshen my look. And, the idea of a little nip here and a tiny tuck there has crossed my mind on more than one occasion. But, I’m a ‘fraidy-cat when it comes to pain and honestly, I think I would struggle with surgically altering my God-given features for no reason other than pure vanity.

So, what’s the solution for literally changing my look in less than 30 seconds? Colored contact lenses! Specifically, Freshlook® Colorblends® by Ciba Vision in “Grey.” They are so much fun to wear! These lenses were developed to subtly enhance or change natural eye color and the “patented three-in-one color technology provides a natural-looking effect.”

I think these lenses more than deliver on their promise. What do you think?

The reactions I get when I wear them are always so great. I find that it’s a real confidence-booster, too, much like wearing hair extensions or wigs are for other women.

If you’re not a contact lens wearer, you can always try eyelashes or new frames for your glasses – even if they’re not prescription.  Whatever you do, just take a chance because change is good!

Love U … It’s not just a declaration. It’s a call to action!  XoXo -Quin
