The one accessory that looks great on everyone

Fashion icon Coco Chanel once said, “A woman needs ropes and ropes of pearls.” I suspect its because she knew that they’re the one and only piece of jewelry that looks great on everyone. Even though Ms. Coco may have uttered these famous words more than 80 years ago, don’t let the pre-21st Century date fool you. These are not your grandmother’s jewels. I chose to accessorize this outfit with the more traditional double strand, but that’s the cool thing about fashion. There are no rules. And, in the spirit of the woman … the anarchist … the legend whose name has become synonymous with class and style, the more pearls, the better. What about you? What’s your favorite way to wear your pearls? Tell me in the comments below.imageimageimageimageimage

  1. I’ve always loved pearls. When I graduated from high school in 1986, I wore them, just a simple strand. I’m trying to figure out what looks best with my body…I like the look of the multiple strands, almost like a choker, but I think you have to have a special personality for that…so I’m partial to the 2-3 strand look than come down a bit. What do you think?

    • I think you can do whatever you want to do! Sometimes, we’re our own worst critics and we really shouldn’t be. I’m a firm believer in the notion that if you look good, you feel good. If you like the multiple strand look, go for it! You might be surprised by all the compliments you get! 😉
