When I heard that one of my favorite R&B artists was making a return visit to the Bay area, naturally my first thought was: What am I going to wear? This is all before I’ve even bought the first ticket! Talk about priorities, huh!
If you’ve ever been to an R&B concert, then you understand my conundrum. Like so many people who grew up in the 80’s, going to a concert was an event and the perfect opportunity to dress to impress.
So, what do you think of this Cyndi Lauper inspired ensemble? I think pairing denim with tulle gave me the perfect cross between being a little feminine and a little tough.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Do you think I’ll make the fashion cut at the concert?
I love the white dress and it’s certainly right on trend! Did it stay clean the whole night? Concerts can have messy concessions and grimy seats sometimes and I think I’d be worried most of the night. You’re totally brave and I love it!

It’s two pieces, actually. A shirt and skirt. And yes, white can be tricky to keep clean but it’s all good!
This outfit is so cute! I love pairing a denim jacket with something dressy. You look beautiful. 🙂
Thanks, Julie!

So cute and definitely perfect for a concert! I love the pairing of the dress and the denim jacket…a great combo!

This is the perfect look! Love the tulle!
I’m so scared to wear white, but this outfit is fabulous.
Don’t be afraid of it!
Really cute I have a skirt just like this and I wore it today too funny! I think you can pair these tulle skirts with buffalo check, cute tee and yes denim I think is my favorite. Very cute rock on!
