Years ago my husband started the tradition of daddy-daughter date night. From time-to-time, he’d take our little girl on a “date”; just the two of them to the place of her choosing, to kick back and have fun.
My daughter Chelsea may be in her early 20s and in college now, but the tradition is still going strong. And, I’ve even gotten in on it, too.
Recently, she and I got a chance to have our mommy-daughter date night. We chose AR Workshop Brandon, a boutique DIY studio offering hands-on classes for creating custom, charming home decor from raw materials.
This place was the absolute cutest! I learned that it’s a franchise that originated from the design company Anders Ruff®, a popular graphic design, party styling, DIY blog and online shop.
When we arrived, the owner Stephanie greeted us with one of the most welcoming smiles I’ve ever seen!
Our workstation, along with all the materials we needed for our individual projects (we chose them online in advance when we booked our session), was already set up and ready to go.
As it turned out, Chelsea and I had the entire place to ourselves that night! Stephanie was so accommodating and totally indulged us as we ran around the shop; looking, touching, squealing and taking in every unique and stylish home decor and design idea!
Our workshop lasted for about three hours, but #truestory, the time flew by because we were having so much fun.
